Gogo's 2K technology reaches 100 Mbps speed record

Saturday 25 February 2017 | 09:45 CET | News
Gogo announced its air-to-ground 2Ku technology exceeded a new speed record of 100 Mbps during a test held on its test aircraft, the Jimmy Ray. The newly supported speed is ten times higher than the speed supported by Gogo's existing system. The record was reached using Gogo's proprietary 2Ku antenna, its new modem and a high-throughput satellite. Gogo's new modem upgrades the performance of both its 2Ku and Ku global satellite services.
