Google acquires BYOD app developer Divide

Google has acquired mobile service company Divide. The Divide app is designed to create a secure work environment for iPhone and Android-powered smartphones. Divide announced that it was joining Google's Android team. No financial terms related to the transaction have been released. Divide's mobile app separates a consumer's personal data and the corporate data contained on a phone, to allow businesses to manage disparate personal devices that consumers use on the job. Divide will continue to offer its service to existing customers.
