Google acquires smart glasses company North

Google has confirmed the acquisition of Canadian smart glasses specialist North (formerly Thalmic Labs) for an undisclosed sum. In a short blog post, Google said North has "built a strong technology foundation" in the human computer interface and holographic glasses space and will be aiding broader efforts to build helpful devices and services.
