Google and Intel withdraw from in-person MWC Barcelona

Thursday 1 April 2021 | 15:46 CET | News
Google and Intel have become the latest major companies to announce that they will not be attending this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona as physical exhibitors, reports El Economista. In a statement, Google said it had taken the decision in line with its Covid-19 travel restrictions and protocols but that it would be collaborating closely with the GSMA and supporting its partners through virtual opportunities. Intel confirmed its decision on similar grounds shortly after, adding that its presence at this year's MWC would be digital only.
