Google applies 'right to be forgotten' only in EU

Google is removing search results for those who invoke their "right to be forgotten" but only for European websites, Reuters reported, adding that the company said it will review its approach at the end of January. Google has always argued that it believes the ruling from May should apply only to its European websites. The EU's privacy chiefs adopted a set of non-binding guidelines in November to ensure the ruling is applied consistently across the bloc's 28 member states. On 16 January however, the Article 29 Working Party wrote to Microsoft, Yahoo and French search engine Qwant to remind
