Google attracts 'millions' to Android Pay

Google's new payments service Android pay has attracted over a million account holders six weeks since its launch, Re/code reports. Sridhar Ramaswamy, Google's SVP of ads and commerce, said most of the users had never tried Google's previous payment services. Speaking at the Money20/20 conference in Las Vegas, Ramaswamy said that "millions" of Android owners have linked card information to Android Pay, and more than 60 percent of them had not used Google Wallet, the earlier payments product that Android Pay replaced. Ramaswamy said Google also is planning a new loyalty programme for Android
