Google completes Motorola Mobility takeover
Google has officially completed the acquisition of Motorola Mobility Holdings, paying USD 40 per share in cash. The deal will allow Google to supercharge the Android ecosystem, with Motorola Mobility remaining a licensee of Android. Android will remain open and Google will operate Motorola Mobility as a separate business. Sanjay Jha has stepped down to be replaced as CEO of Motorola Mobility by Dennis Woodside.
