Google develops new storage encryption standard for low-end Android devices

Google has developed a new form of storage encryption designed to protect low-end Android devices. The Adiantum system targets phones running older processors such as ARM Cortex-A7 and too slow to use the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) employed on higher-end hardware.
