Google drops invites for Project Fi service

Google has dropped the invitations for its Project Fi service and opened it up to all users in the US with a Nexus phone. As a promotional offer, Google is also offering the Nexus 5X for USD 199 for the next month for customers who buy and activate the device through Project Fi. Fi was first introduced ten months ago as Google's MVNO for Nexus users. The service costs USD 20 per month for unlimited calls and SMS, Wi-Fi and international coverage in over 120 countries. The company said that since customers have averaged around 1.6 GB of data per month, and over 15 percent have taken advantage
