Google enters VR deal with NBC

Google and NBC entered into a deal to make VR programming more appealing to consumers, writes online publication Techcrunch.com. The two companies said that they will collaborate to produce at least 10 multi-episode VR productions that will run as extra content alongside core programming on NBC itself and its network of other channels. VR content can be watched on Google Cardboard or Daydream View and will also be hosted on YouTube. Google said that it will later also make some of the content available on the VR180 format for 4K, three-dimensional video.
