Google faces Indian competition investigation over possible Android abuse

India's antitrust watchdog is investigating whether Google used its Android platform to block rivals, two sources aware of the matter told Reuters. A government official told the Wall Street Journal that the competition regulator had consulted the EU and the US on the matter and decided to move ahead with its own investigation, after preliminary findings pointed to abuse by Google.
