Google Fiber agrees to pay Louisville for road works

Google Fiber will pay USD 3.84 million to Louisville Metro Government (LMG) to restore roads and other public rights-of-way affected by its abandoned micro-trenching construction works in Louisville. The company announced in February it will depart from Louisville because its shallow trench method it used in the city wasn't successful and that it would need to rebuild the entire network to provide its service, something it does not want to do.
