Google informs EC how it intends to amend search results

Monday 4 September 2017 | 15:52 CET | News
Google has met a deadline to inform the European Union's antitrust authority how it intends to implement the regulator's June order to stop favouring its own comparison shopping service over other providers. "The commission can confirm that, as required by the commission decision, it has received information from Google on how the company intends to ensure compliance with the commission decision by the set deadline," said the EC in a statement. No details were provided of Google's proposal but any changes are due to take effect by 28 September.
