Google invests EUR 45 mln in sustainable cooling system for Dutch data centre

Google wants to use industrial water from surface water to cool the servers at its data centre in Eemshaven, in the north of the Netherlands. This will become possible thanks to the construction of a new industrial water treatment plant and transport pipelines by the Groningen Water Company and North Water, supported by Google with an investment of more than EUR 45 million.
