Google keeps Google Glass manufacturing in US - report

Google's Google Glass devices are being made in the US by Taiwan's Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry), which also makes iPhones and iPads in China and elsewhere. The Financial Times reports, citing anonymous sources, that Foxconn is considering ramping up production of the voice controlled smartphone glasses at the site in Santa Clara, California. Google is signing up around 1,500 Glass Explorers to test the US-made devices. It is unknown whether the product will attain mass-market demand and lower-cost manufacturing in Asia. The Financial Times reports a resurgence in US manufacturing
