Google launches AI-powered Lens tool on Pixel phones

Google has announced the upcoming launch of a new Artificial Intelligence-powered tool called Google Lens on its Pixel and Pixel 2 phones as part of an update of its voice-activated Assistant platform. First unveiled in May, the tool builds on Google's advancements in computer vision and machine learning to allow users point their phone's camera at an object to receive information about it in real time. Combining with Assistant, Google Lens is able to recognize a city's landmarks and inform users about their history.
