Google has sent out invitations to the press for an event in San Francisco on 04 October, and the company is expected to announce then a new range of smartphones under the Pixel brand, TechCrunch reports.
While the invite only features Google’s logo, the company also posted a teaser video and site. The URL for the teaser site is madeby.google.com, suggesting the event will focus on Pixel products, as this is the brand used for products made by Google, and not in cooperation with other manufacturers, like the Nexus and Chromebook ranges.
Earlier reports suggested that Google will launch two Pixel smartphones. The Pixel phones would not run stock Android as the Nexus devices do, but instead Google's own variant of Android 7.0.
