Google removes Home Mini touch recording feature

Friday 13 October 2017 | 08:50 CET | News
Google has announced that it's permanently removing all top touch functionality on its new Home Mini speaker units after website Android Police reported that its review device was registering touches and recording even when no one was there. The company said the software fix will be completely rolled out by 15 October before the first unit is shipped, and that the speaker can now be activated solely by voice. The Mini's left and right buttons can still be used to adjust the volume, said Google.
