Google rivals push EC to look at ad tech market - report

The European Commission may be preparing to open a new front in its competition investigation against Google, in the advertising technology market this time. Google is already facing charges over possible abuse of its dominant position in the web search market and an investigation into possible anti-competitive terms of its Android OS. Now rivals in the ad market, including OpenX and AppNexus, have submitted information to the Commission suggesting unfair sales practices at Google, people familiar with the matter told the Financial Times.
