Google, Samsung support Mexican education programme

Google and Samsung have joined Mexico's UNETE programme to support schools throughout the country with teacher training and technological tools. Google said it will be provide USD 2.1 million to the initiative via its Google.org charitable arm as well as equipment such as Chromebooks while Samsung is providing 300 tablets to schools in the Jalisco, Mexico and Baja California states. In total the UNETE programme will support over 24,000 students and 750 teachers from 59 schools in 10 Mexican states.
