Google summoned to answer more tax questions in UK

Executives from Google and its auditor Ernst & Young are set to be called before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the UK again to answer questions about the company's tax payments, Reuters reports. PAC chairwoman Margaret Hodge said she would order the companies to explain previous comments in light of an investigation by Reuters which highlighted inconsistencies in the way Google portrays its UK operations. This investigation found that some Google staff and UK customers think that it does make sales to UK customers from the UK, despite Google executive Matt Brittin saying previously
