Google takes Google Cloud head of editorial from NYT

Google has hired Quentin Hardy of the New York Times to head editorial for Google Cloud from 6 February, Recode reported. Hardy was the deputy tech editor at the daily. Google confirmed the news and said Hardy's role was new. It declined to share further details, such as what exactly the job entails. "Like all new undertakings, the specifics will work themselves out," Hardy replied via Twitter direct message.
