Google to bring Android apps to Chromebooks next month

Google has announced that its Play Store will be available on Chromebooks starting next month. As a result, users will be able to download over 1.5 million Android apps that they can use both online and offline on their Chrome OS-powered computers. "The same apps that run on phones and tablets can now run on Chromebooks without compromising their speed, simplicity or security," said Google in a blog post. Google Play will first arrive with Chrome OS version 53 on the company's developer channel in early June, starting with the Asus Chromebook Flip, the Acer Chromebook R11 and Google's latest
