Google to launch lower-priced smartphone in hardware push - report

Google plans to unveil its first lower-priced smartphone this year as part of an aggressive push into hardware that it hopes will draw more users into its ecosystem, sources familiar with the matter told The Nikkei. This will be its first non-premium model since it dropped the Nexus range and will target price-sensitive customers and those in emerging markets.
