Google to promote mobile-friendly sites in search results

Google announced changes to how it displays search results in order to rank higher sites easier to view on mobile devices. Starting 21 April, 'mobile friendliness' will be include in how the search engine calculates rankings. Google offers tips for site desginers on how to accomodate mobile devices and ensure they benefit from the rankings. Google is also incorporating information from mobile apps in its search results. Starting 26 February, it's using information from indexed apps as a factor in ranking for signed-in users who have the app installed. As a result, users signed into Google
