Google unveils Family Link parental control app

Google has announced the launch of Family Link, an app that allows parents to set up a child's first Google account and subsequently manage the apps they use, track screen time and set device bedtimes. To work, the app requires a brand new or newly-wiped device running the new Android 7 Nougat software, or a supported device running Marshmallow 6.1. Once the child is signed in, parents can use Family Link to approve or block apps downloaded from the Google Play store, track and log app usage via weekly and monthly activity reports and remotely lock the device when it's time to play, study or
