Google, Verizon in talks for mobile music bundle - report

Wednesday 7 August 2013 | 16:29 CET | News
Google has been exploring a bundling distribution deal for its All Access subscription music streaming service with Verizon's wireless business, according to executives knowledgeable with the discussions, reported Billboard.com. A deal with Google Play Music All Access would allow Verizon to offer an on-demand music service to its wireless subscribers. Google would gain a distribution partner that could seamlessly fold the monthly USD 9.99 fee for its service into subscribers' mobile phone deal. Verizon could use Google's music service as a way to attract new customers and reduce defections.
