Google's Dropcam upgrades users' older models to Dropcam HD

Google subsidiary Dropcam announced that it will supply free Dropcam HDs, currently selling for USD 120, to anyone with older Dropcams (Dropcam, Dropcam Echo), set to be disconnected from the Dropcam service on 15 April because they cannot support some of the service's new features. The company told Droid-Life that eligible users will be contacted directly to be offered a replacement. The older Dropcams were released before Google subsidiary Nest bought Dropcam. The company makes revenue from a cloud-archiving and video-management service starting at USD 9.95 a month. It has been developing
