Govt study proposes dissolving Hadopi - report

A report due to be presented to the French president and culture minister on 13 May calls for the dissolution of the Hadopi anti-piracy authority and for its functions to be taken over by audiovisual regulator CSA, Journal du Dimanche reports. Its author, former Canal Plus chairman Pierre Lescure, proposes replacing the suspension of internet service with fines for persistent illegal downloaders.
