Grameenphone revenue grows 11% in Q3, profit jumps 55%

Bangladeshi mobile operator Grameenphone saw its third-quarter revenue reach BDT 29.4 billion, which represents a growth of 11.2 percent year-on-year. Subscription and traffic revenue (excluding interconnection) jumped 13.8 percent, with growing contribution from data. Data revenue growth accelerated to 72.1 percent year-on-year, while voice revenue also rose by 6.6 percent. Net profit for the quarter was BDT 6.4 billion with a margin of 21.9 percent. On a reported basis, this represents an increase of 55.7 percent from the same period of 2015.
