Grameenphone revenues advance almost 10% in Q2

Bangladeshi mobile operator Grameenphone reported results for the second quarter showing revenues up 9.5 percent from the year before to BDT 26.2 billion. Service revenue grew by 8.1 percent while devices and other revenue went higher by `49.6 percent. Profit after tax (PAT) amounted to BDT 5.4 billion, with earnings per share at BDT 4.03, boosted by a change in corporate tax regulations. EBITDA improved by 14.9 percent to BDT 14.1 million, with the margin at 53.9 percent, compared to 561.4 percent the year earlier.
