Greek authority proposes increase of ADSL charges to boost VDSL

Greek telecoms regulator EETT opened a public consultation to increase charges for conventional ADSL internet connections and lower those that rely on optical fibers (VDSL and FTTx) in an effort to promote use of VDSL, according to local online publication Ekathimerini.com. EETT wants to increase the price of ADSL connections to EUR 7.42 per month from EUR 7.05 per month at present. This price will further grow to EUR 8 per month in the coming years.
