Friday 12 April 2019 | 11:31 CET | News
The average speed of internet connections in Greece increased year-on-year in 2018 but is still well below the speeds advertised by ISPs, according to local paper Ekhatimerini citing data from telecommunications authority EETT. On average, advertised speeds were 50-60 percent lower on fibre optic connections speeds (50 Mbps vs actual speeds of 25-30 Mbps) and 33 percent lower on advertised copper cable connections (ADSL 24 Mbps vs actual speeds of 8 Mbps), EETT's report shows.
