GSA report finds 25 mobile operators trialing C-V2X systems

At least 25 mobile operators worldwide are involved in trials of LTE- or 5G-based Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) technologies, allowing cars to use the mobile network to communicate with transport infrastructure. In its latest report, the Global mobile Suppliers Association found that chipsets and hardware are also coming on the network, paving the way for the development of the 3GPP-based ecosystem for vehicle communications.
