GSMA publishes IoT efficiency guidelines

The GSMA has published a new set of Internet of Things (IoT) guidelines outlining the best way to connect devices and applications to mobile networks. The best practices set out in the 'IoT Device Connections Efficiency Guidelines' report include data aggregation within devices, non-synchronous network access, application scalability and guidance on how to manage signalling traffic from de-activated or out-of-subscription SIMs. The report has already received the backing of mobile operators including AT&T, China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, Deutsche Telekom, Etisalat, KT Corp, Orange,
