GTT launches 4G service in Guyana

Friday 10 March 2017 | 14:15 CET | News
The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) has finally activated its 4G-LTE service, rolling out the technology for customers on the Essequibo Coast some four months ahead of schedule, reports Demerara Waves, citing the company's CEO Justin Nedd. The region was selected for the launch after GTT received numerous requests from customers, said Nedd, adding that it was another step in bridging the country's digital divide. Customers in Essequibo who sign up to the service will be given free access until the end of March.
