H-P, Arista to bundle data-centre hardware, software

Hewlett-Packard and networking specialist Arista Networks partnered to offer bundles of data-center hardware and software, Wall Street Journal writes. The move mimics one of Cisco Systems and other rivals' strategies. The companies would work together to sell what Silicon Valley calls "converged infrastructure," namely a package that comprises the three main hardware elements found in data centers—servers, networking and data-storage devices—in pretested combinations along with software.
