Hadopi wants to add videogame piracy to its remit - report

French antipiracy authority Hadopi is seeking to add videogame piracy to its current remit of fighting illegal downloads of music and films over P2P networks, Le Point reports without citing its sources. The body intends to increase its scope of action while contending with a drastically reduced budget, set at EUR 8 million in 2013 compared to EUR 10.3 million this year. Hadopi aims to send 1.1 million e-mail warnings to people suspected of downloading content illicitly next year, compared to its target of 792,072 in 2012. French data protection authority Cnil, whose autorisation is necessary
