Half Dutch internet users watch paid online video

Wednesday 14 June 2017 | 10:26 CET | News
Half of Dutch internet users over 18 watch online video content, either through subscriptions or a la carte purchases. Young people aged 18-34 do this the most, at average three hours and 40 minutes per day, which is three hours more than over-55s, according to research by GfK ViewScape. The 18-34 age group spends around half its total video viewing time on subscriptions. The content viewed depends mainly on recommendations from friends and family and promotions and trailers. The 55+ group turn mainly to content from TV channels they already watch regularly or the electronic programme guide.
