Half of Austrians are in no rush to switch to 5G

Friday 2 October 2020 | 16:35 CET | News
Half of Austrians are not in any rush to switch to 5G, according to a survey carried out by Deloitte. Only 5 percent are already using 5G and 53 percent are not willing to pay more for higher bandwidths. While 52 percent of those surveyed believe mobile connectivity is better with 5G, 36 percent fear health consequences from using the new technology. Deloitte conducted the Digital Consumer Trends 2020 study to analyse habits and the attitudes of consumers to developments in mobile communications, interviewing more than 36,000 people in 23 countries, including 1,000 in Austria.
