Half of European pay-TV operators face revenue fall - study

Around half of Europe's leading pay-TV operators will see their subscription and VOD revenues drop between 2013 and 2020 due above all to the growing emergence of online TV and video platforms, according to a report from Digital TV Research. The analysis of 103 operators in 26 countries (representing 84 percent of subscribers) revealed that total subscription and VOD revenues increased from USD 33.7 billion in 2010 to USD 35.8 billion in 2013.
