Wednesday 19 April 2017 | 13:12 CET | News
Just over half (51.2%) of DTT users in Germany have switched to the new DVB-T2 standard since its launch 29 March, according to a survey by TNS Infratest for streaming TV provider Zattoo. Around 17 percent switched to a different method of TV reception already used elsewhere in their home, and 23 percent adopted a new method, mainly satellite (11.4%). Around 7 percent moved to cable and 3 percent streaming TV online, while 5.5 percent had not yet decided as of the first week of April. The survey found that especially 18-29 year-olds adopted a new method to receive TV.
