Half of Germans used e-government tools in 2018

Fifty percent of the German population used the internet to contact authorities and public institutions in 2018, according to a survey by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) by private households. The share of the population going online to contact authorities was 39 percent ten years ago.
