Half of young Chileans spend 3 hours a day online - study

Nearly half (46%) of young Chileans aged 5 to 17 spend 3 hours or more a day connected to the internet, be it for leisure or study, according to a survey conducted by Chilean cable operator VTR. Around 78 percent of the 3,700 respondents said they spent between 1 and 3 hours online, with 85 percent claiming they owned a mobile phone, rising to 92 percent of 15 to 17 year-olds.
