Hawaiki manufactures 90% of transpacific cable system

Hawaiki Submarine Cable and TE SubCom have announced that more than 90 percent of the 14,000 km Hawaiki transpacific cable system has been manufactured. The 14,000 km transpacific cable system will link Australia and New Zealand to the mainland US, as well as Hawaii and American Samoa, with options to expand to several other South Pacific islands. According to Hawaiki Submarine Cable, the manufacturing progress, as well as continued advancement with the installation permitting process in New Zealand, Australia and the US, keeps Hawaiki on schedule for completion by mid-2018.
