Hawaiki to provide REANNZ with additional cable capacity

Hawaiki Submarine Cable and Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand (REANNZ) have signed an agreement to provide the country's peak research network with increased international cable capacity and resiliency. Under the terms of the deal, Hawaiki will provide REANNZ with connectivity, as well as additional capacity on both the Hawaiki network and trans-Tasman and trans-Pacific subsea routes. REANNZ plan to expand its reach in Australia and the US, opening new points of presence in Sydney, Guam and Hawaii.
