HBO Max to launch in Latin America, Europe in H2 2021

Friday 4 December 2020 | 12:04 CET | News
The head of HBO Max Global Andy Forssell has confirmed earlier reports that WarnerMedia's new subscription streaming service HBO Max will officially launch in Latin America next year. The service debuted in the US in May and will be expanding to Latin America as well as to Europe in the second half of 2021, said Forssell at the online Web Summit event, adding that "by the end of the year both of those regions will be very active." He also noted that HBO Max plans to eventually expand to 190 countries, without specifying a time frame.
