HBO Now threatens to close accounts of non-US subscribers

HBO has sent an e-mail to thousands of subscribers who access the HBO Now streaming service from outside the US, reports Torrent Freak, which has printed a copy of the message. In it HBO reminds users that the HBP Now service is only available to residents of the US for use within the US. It offers a phone number for recipients to use if they think they have received the message in error and warns that if it does not hear back by 21 April it will deactivate the users' HBO Now account without further notice.
