Helmond homes, business premises to become Brainport Smart District 'living lab'

About 1,500 new homes and 12 hectares of business premises will over the next 10 years get developed in the Brandevoort district of Helmond in a 'living lab', part of the Brainport Smart District. The project is being developed by UNSense, a sister company of UNStudio, specialised in smart-city projects. The aim of the Helmond project is to achieve a sustainable, circular and socially cohesive neighborhood with joint production of energy and food, water management, data management and new transport systems.
