Hispasat and GetSAT to offer joint mobile satellite services

Spanish satellite operator Hispasat has teamed up with Israeli satellite terminal manufacturer GetSAT to offer satellite on the move services targeted at security and emergency markets. Under the terms of the deal, the companies will combine GetSAT's small, low-power terminals and Hispasat's satellite fleet to strengthen business opportunities in aerial, drone, maritime and land-based emergency services in Latin America, Europe and North Africa. In a joint statement, the partners said the new platform is designed to ensure safe communications when natural disasters occur for urgently
